The Watersplash Hotel is located in Brockenhurst, a New Forest village with its own busy community.
Once there you will immediately appreciate why visitors return year after year to enjoy the country house atmosphere of this peaceful and beautifully located hotel. The grounds around the hotel cover more than two acres of lawned gardens and shady arbours. Robin and his family, as with his parents Beryl and Brian previously, have been leading people to this delectable part of the country for more than 40 years. 'As with all family-run hotels, you get that special personal touch, so that our guests get immense pleasure out of staying here. Families are particularly welcome, and children are as important as any of our grown-up guests.' Special arrangements can be made for golf societies and The Watersplash is the perfect venue for other important events such as weddings, Christmas parties and small conferences (where the quiet surroundings help delegates to relax and concentrate on the subject in hand). These are all part of our agenda of hospitality and we will be happy to discuss any individual requirements. The swimming pool, much enjoyed by everyone, has a special appeal for children providing a safe and convenient alternative to visiting the many attractions of the area. A range of bar meals is available every day and we are pleased to serve Sunday Lunch in the dining room. Lunches in the dining room on other days can be arranged with prior notice. Brockenhurst is the ideal touring centre for exploring the New Forest, which is situated between Bournemouth and Southampton, with Salisbury and Winchester to the north, and the Isle of Wight to the south. Almost literally on the doorstep of the Hotel is a wealth of sights and experiences for walkers and nature lovers. Much of the wildlife and vegetation of the New Forest can be found nowhere else in Britain.
Directions.
Brockenhurst is served by the main British Rail Waterloo to Weymouth line (75 minutes), and guests arriving by train can be collected from Brockenhurst station by prior arrangement. Contact us to make arrangements
From Heathrow Airport catch the Heathrow Express into Paddington, then take the Underground (Bakerloo Line) to Waterloo.
From Gatwick catch the Gatwick Express to Victoria then Underground (District/Circle line to Westminster then Jubilee Line) to Waterloo.
By road London is now only 90 minutes away. If you are coming from London or the East take the M3 (or the M27 East) then join the M27 WEST at Fastleigh (just outside Southampton) exiting at Junction 1, the New Forest exit. Then take the A337 southbound through Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst. In peak holiday periods it is usually preferable to exit at Junction 2 and head towards Fawley and Beaulieu then take the A35 towards Lyndhurst (you have to head back towards Southampton first, then go right round the first roundabout and back the way you came!). This brings you into Lyndhurst at a junction which is less likely to have long queues, although it is perhaps a mile or two further than exiting at Junction 1. Coming from the West, take the A31 through Ringwood and then take the Burley turn off which goes through the Forest to Brockenhurst.
