In the spacious garden with stone walls and apple trees, you are surrounded by farmland. As you enjoy the delights of the hostelry, you marvel at the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, with the North Pennines in the distance.
Inside, the inn boasts a restaurant with exposed stone walls and rustic feel. The inviting bar and snug areas, with their open log fires offer a cosy welcome whilst the separate games room with pool table and darts board provide alternative entertainment.
You are seated in comfortable surroundings and are being served by courteous and well presented staff. You consider the menu with its tempting selection of dishes and, when your choice arrives at your table in a timely fashion, it is appealing to look at and stimulating to your taste buds.
