Situated overlooking Staward Gorge AONB near to Hexham, Britain's best market town 2006. Easy access to Hadrian's Wall world heritage site, Staward Gorge, Allenbanks. Within 45 minutes drive of Northumberland coast or the Lake District. Pub serving food 1 mile away with shops 3 miles.  Fishing, horse riding and country sports can be arranged. The Market town of Hexham is cose by and the city of Carlisle is about 30 minutes away.

The Waiting Room, built in 1852, part of Staward Railway Station. Detached cottage with south facing mature gardens. Recently refurbished to very high standards, retaining many original features including tongue'n'groove walls, fireplace and ticket hatch. The station platform provides an extensive patio for alfresco dining, garden furniture and parasol provided.

The cottage is no smoking and pets can be accommodated by arrangement.
