Visitors have the best of both worlds with the sea on our doorstep and beautiful Exmoor National Park nearby. There are trips by coach or boat and easy drives to many places of interest on the coast and inland, including beautiful gardens and parks, stately homes, pannier markets, museums and potteries. For the more energetic there is a wide choice from the rugged SW Coast Path, tranquillity in Tarka Country and Exmoor and unique Lundy Island - wherever you go the scenery is amazing, the walking just great. The hotel is just 220 yards from the delightful Bicclescombe Park and Cairn Nature Reserve, ideal for exercising the hound or simply for a stretch of the legs. There is also tennis, golf, riding, shooting, fishing and bowls nearby, and of course there are the magnificent sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, which offer swimming and surfing second to none.
