The House at 8 Newington Road, Edinburgh (now Southside Guest House) was built in 1865 and is part of a Victorian Terrace which includes at No 10 next door; West Newington House (built 1805) Southside Guest House Edinburgh has eight elegant en-suite bedrooms - including Four Poster Rooms - providing stylish bed and breakfast accommodation in the centre of Edinburgh. Directions.
From East end of Princes Street take North Bridge to the Royal Mile, continue South bound along South Clerk Street for approximately 1km. Southside is on the right hand side at the start of Newington Road.
From the motorways, join the City By Pass (A720) and get off at the Straiton Junction, from here take the A701 into Edinburgh. Follow this road the whole way into the city. The road is designated A701 the whole way. You are getting closer to Southside ( 8, Newington Road) as you turn on Craigmillar Park, Mayfield Road, Minto Street and then Newington Road (different names for the same road and still on the A701) We are right on the corner with West Preston and East Preston Street.
