Lucy Cross, near Aldbrough St John is an old coaching inn built in 1763, by the old Roman Road, Dere Street now the B6275 which was part of the Great North Road. The railways took away its trade in the 19th century although it remained an inn until 1947. Since then it has been a family home and Guest House.


Lucy cross is located in the peaceful village of Aldbrough St John close to the market town of Richmond, Lucy Cross Farm is an ideal place from which to explore Yorkshire. There are numerous countryside walks and cycle routes nearby as well as some excellent fishing locations. The towns of Darlington and Northallerton are accessible within 15 minutes.

If you would like to have a homecooked dinner in a peaceful and homely atmosphere this can be served between 6.30pm - 9.30pm. Non-resident friends may join you - Aga roasts are a speciality (for parties of 6 or more). As are shooting/hunting breakfasts or dinner parties.Full English or a healthy option breakfast will be served between 7am and 10.30am in the Dining Room.
