Less than 2 miles from Hadrians Wall, Keepers Cottage provides an ideal base should you wish to explore the many places of interest in the region such as the Roman sites of Steel Rigg, Housesteads, Vindolanda and Carvoran, and the market town of Hexham. The cities of Carlisle and Newcastle upon Tyne are less than an hour away, as is the Gateshead Metro Centre. The Lake District, Kielder Water and Beamish Open Air Museum are within easy traveling distance. The newly created Alnwick Garden with it's famous treehouse provides a great day out.
Most of our visitors come to walk along some or all of Hadrian's Wall, which is just on our doorstep. The peace and tranquility of the setting of Keepers Cottage provides an ideal location in which to relax while on holiday in luxurious surroundings.

Pets can be accommodated by arrangement. There is a supplement of £2 per night per dog.
