The Hope Anchor is a family run 3 star hotel, built in the mid 18th Century and set in Ryes picturesque old town. It has recently been redecorated, and features some of the best views in town, across the Quayside and Romney Marshes towards Camber Castle and the sea beyond.
The hotels location is central, whilst also being very quiet. We are 10 minutes walk from Rye Station, and only 2 minutes from the centre of Rye, complete with its medieval buildings, antique shops, pubs and the Rye Museum. Alternatively relax in our Harbour View Restaurant with its fantastic views and fresh, locally sourced food.
If traveling further afield, we are 1 mile from the harbour and the Rye Harbour Walk, a delightful walk through the local nature reserve. We are also 3 miles from the coast at Camber Sands and half an hours drive from various zoos, theme parks and Dover with its white cliffs and castle. Both France and London are only an hour by train.
