By road:
- Leave the A1 and join the A186 (Westgate Road) for the city centre.
- Continue for approximately 2 miles and Grainger Hotel is on the left.
By train:
- Leave the railway station and proceed left along Neville Street for Westmorland Road (A6115).
- Turn right onto Blenheim Street and continue onto St. James Boulevard (A189).
- Turn left onto Westgate Road and continue for about 3/4 of a mile for Grainger Hotel.
Local buses:
- Main routes 10, 11 and 38 leave from Central Station, 39 and 40 leave from St. James' Park stadium. Buses go directly to the city centre and football stadium (10 minute travel time).
From the airport:
- Exit and join the A696 for Newcastle.
- Join the A1 and head south.
- Take the 2nd exit and join the A186 (Westgate Road) for the city centre. Continue for approximately 2 miles.
