The historic Gleneagles Hotel, a complete resort set in its own 850-acre estate and surrounded by breathtaking Perthshire scenery, is elegant and spacious with luxurious and welcoming guest rooms.
The finest local produce is exquisitely served in the hotel's restaurants. World-renowned golf, shooting school, falconry, off-road driving, spa, and The Club make Gleneagles a truly great hotel. *** The Gleneagles® Hotel is investing £18 million in an ongoing programme of improvements in the run-up to hosting the Ryder Cup in 2014. *** Ten new luxury suites are being created on the top floor, with rich interiors designed by award-winning Amanda Rosa Interiors. The suites are due for completion in June 2007. *** In January 2007 development work started on the existing ground floor bedroom corridor. This area will become home to a new hair salon, barbers shop, teenage Games Room and an improved Playroom for younger children. *** At the same time, Deseo, a new, informal Mediterranean deli-style restaurant is being created in the area which was previously Braid Lobby and the playroom. Deseo will replace the existing Club Restaurant when it opens in summer 2007. *** Throughout this period of construction the existing Club restaurant will be fully operational, as will the hair salon. A temporary playroom is located in Braid House. *** At the end of July 2007 development will start in The Spa with treatment rooms doubling in number to 20 as well as the creation of new zones such as Heat Experiences and a Vitality Pool. During this time health and beauty treatments will be available at the hotel. Work is expected to be complete by mid January 2008. *** Rest assured, we will ensure minimal disruption to guests while these projects are taking place.
