The Darnley is an elegant Victorian Hotel, set in its own grounds in Ilfracombe offering access to the town centre and sea front. Both the High Street and Seafront are only a 5 minute stroll away. We are on the Coast to Coast Cycle Path, close to many glorious walks, within driving distance of some of the finest Golfing Clubs in the area, and of course many Blue Flag Beaches. Ilfracombe hosts a Walking Festival in May, a Victorian Week in June with many other festivals during the course of the Season. We are also very close to the excellent Bus Services in the area, and Barnstaple some 14 miles away is our closest railway link.
Guests cars can be parked in the Hotels own Car Park. We have a Licensed Bar which is very well stocked, and a Restaurant serving genuine home made meals, using wherever possible produce from the Hotels garden. Beakfast is a grand affair with a large choice including home made bread and preserves and a good vegetarian selection. We cater for Walking Groups (we have drying facilities), Cyclists (we have plenty of lockable storage for bikes), Couples, Families and guests wishing to bring along their dogs.
