Cambridge House is a very high standard small, friendly, family owned guest house built in the traditional Lakeland style.
We take great pride in our warm friendly atmosphere and extra tasty home-cooked breakfast which give our guests that home from home feel. We have a large breakfast menu, including of course a traditional english breakfast, vegetarians catered for. Each room is comfortably and charmingly decorated all rooms have recently been refurbished and offer the essential comforts of home such as, ensuite facilities, colour television, all rooms have DVD player and use of complimentary DVD library, CD players (use of complimentary CDs),radio alarms, hairdryer, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries all rooms have satellite TV. Were just a minutes walk from all restaurants and shops in Windermere and only five minutes walk from the railwaycoach station. Also Lake Windermere is only a pleasant 15 minute stroll away. Maps and books on many of the walks in the lake district, which our guests are free to use at their leisure, guests staying two nights or more can enjoy free use of the nearby Leisure Facilities of Parklands Country Club. Smoking and pets strictly not allowed. Please note that we debit the first night as a non refundable deposit from card details provided upon receipt. In the event of a cancellation the full amount will be payable a refund will be given for the nights we are able to re-let (less the first night) . Please note no same sex groups i.e Hen or stag parties, hen or stag parties arriving at the guest house will be turned away and charged the full amount of the booking. Cambridge House is gay friendly. Please note that we do not have a manned reception, we require an accurate arrival time on booking, if one is not provided or it is changed and we are not advised we cannot guarantee to be at the property when you arrive.Cambridge House does not accept children under 10 years of age
Directions.
Take M6 junction 36 and the A590 and A591 to Windermere. At Windermere turn left (signed Town Centre) and follow the road through the town. Oak Street is a left turn off this road. Cambridge House is the first guest house on the left.
