Nestled within the beautiful Dyfi Valley, with the River Dyfi (Dovey) located behind it, the hotel offers you a picturesque countryside location. Situated on the edge of the village of Dinas Mawddwy, Gwynedd, the hotel is easily accessible from the A470 and is located between Dolgellau and Machynlleth.
A selection of beers is available in the hotel’s bar and bistro, and when the weather is good you can enjoy a drink in the beer garden where you can take in the spectacular scenery. For the hungry traveller the hotel serves a wide choice of traditional food from their menu together with your selection of wine from the carefully selected list. This smoke-free hotel is a 3-storey, purpose-built Victorian hotel, built in 1873 by Sir Edmund Buckley, the man responsible for bringing the railways to this part of Wales. It is a grade 2 listed building, reputedly the oldest reinforced concrete building in Europe, and the 2nd oldest in the world.

By Car: Buckley Pines Hotel is located on the main A470 north/south road through Wales. Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham Airports are around 2 hours drive away.
By Rail: The nearest rail connection is 13 miles away.
By Bus: Buses stop about 100 metres from the hotel although these are infrequent. From Dolgellau the bus makes a weekly visit on Wednesdays. From Machynlleth buses call daily.
