The Bancourt Hotel aims to offer an oasis of calm and tranquility, a place to escape from the pressures of life and relax in clear sunlight and the gentle sea breeze. This wonderful ambience is complemented by the on-site facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, large private garden, well-equipped function room, bar and dance floor.
With ample free off-road parking, friendly and dedicated staff and regular live entertainment, the Bancourt is the perfect place to enjoy all that the English Riviera has to offer.
The heated indoor pool offers relaxation after your excursions or a hard day's shopping in the town centre. It is approximately one metre deep, so doesn’t require you to be an Olympic swimmer to stay afloat. Early birds can swim from 07:00 through to 19:00.
Unfortunately, due to the age of the hotel, not all the rooms in the hotel are accessible by wheelchair (yet!), but there are ramps to the restaurant and a lift from the front entrance to reception and the first floor. Once in reception, you have easy access to the Cabaret Bar, which has disabled toilet facilities, and the pool area – please note that there are no hoist facilities or a ramp into the pool itself. Parts of the garden are accessible by wheelchair.
If you have any mobility problems, it would be helpful if you inform the hotel at the time of booking before rooms are allocated.
For business events, the hotel provides a high-quality large-screen projector, (free for use), Wi-Fi internet and a PA system. The hotel can also tailor-make a conferencing package for you, including accommodation and hospitality service.
The main function room can accommodate up to 150 people, whilst downstairs there is a large pub-style function room, complete with stage, bar and dance floor, that can hold 120 people.

- Take the A380 to Torquay.
- Follow the signs to the seafront.
- You will pass Torre Train Station and Halfords on the right-hand side.
- Just past these, take the road to the right.
- The Bancourt is about half way down on the left-hand side, just before the Esso petrol station.
