The house has been fully restored and modernised by the present owners to include a highly acclaimed French style restaurant which utilises the best of the local produce. It is the Auld Alliance ethos to make your visit a truly memorable one. We pride ourselves on ambience, hospitality, and the 'French gastronomic experience.
The Auld Alliance sits in about an acre of its own grounds, situated of the main Kingussie High street, giving ample peace and quiet to relax and enjoy the spectacular views, yet only a few minutes away from the local shops and activities.The Auld Alliance offers a choice of tastefully decorated rooms and a studio apartment all restored and furnished in a style befitting the period of the house apart from a newly redesigned downstairs room which is more contemporary.The restaurant is situated on the ground floor. a heart warming log fire and deep leather Chesterfield chairs await in the adjoining lounge where the most discerning pallets can enjoy a wide selection of Malts and Cognacs.
Directions.
Kingussie is conveniently located on the main London / Inverness rail line and off the A9.The Auld Alliance is 5 minute walk from the station but pick ups are offered to residing guests. It is approximately 1 hour from Inverness airport to the North & 2 and a half hours from both Glasgow and Edinburgh to the South. Car hire can also be arranged.
