It is in an ideal situation for exploring Edinburghs many visitor attractions and is well known as the home of our famous fictional detective Inspector John Rebus. Within a few minutes walk across the Meadows you will find the Royal Scottish Museum in Chambers Street and the historic Greyfriars Kirk, famed for both the Covenanters and Greyfriars Bobby. The Royal Mile with Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace at either end is close by with Princes Street just beyond. Walk in the other direction and you will find yourself in the Bruntsfield and Morningside area of the city, which offer a wide range of individual shops.There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to take your pick from in this cosmopolitan area and you can stroll through the Meadows park or Bruntsfield Links which are almost on your doorstep. Guest should turn at the 4th left at a main junction. This will bring guest on to Lauriston Place.
