The Garden Room is open for lunch and evening meals, with a wide selection of dishes available. Our on-site leisure club is exclusive to hotel guests. The hotel advises that from 01 July 2007, the Ambleside Salutation Hotel will be completely non-smoking, including the guest bedrooms.

From North: j40 from m6, follow a66 to the turning for St Johns in the Vale and then join a591 to Ambleside. Hotel is on the left after pedestrian crossing
From South: J36 from M6, follow A591 to Ambleside. Follow one way system into town center, at lights turn right and the hotel is on the left.

Festive Room
New Years Eve After your journey you will be ready for a pot of tea - and a rest! Please join us for our traditional afternoon tea to revive you and set the gastronomic scene of things to come. Afterwards you will have time to settle in and get ready for our welcome cocktail party and a chance to meet your fellow guests. Make your way into the restaurant for our Gala Dinner. International cabaret artist David Ford will entertain you with his singing. There will be a visit from the piper with a firework display at midnight and a glass of bubbly to welcome in the New Year. New Years Day Breakfast will be served a little later today as some of you may have had a rather late night!
